ホームステー

After Sziget and some cleaning, Ayumi came to my house - we had fun watching Goong, talking, and I'm happy she liked her birthday present! ^__^ (I customised a pair of trainers for her)
Then on Sunday morning, four of us - Ami, Erisz, Orsi and me - went to meet the Japanese girls who were supposed to stay at each of our houses for 2 nights. Viki came as well, I was happy ^o^
It was funny because we didn't know their names in advance, or anything, and Orsi and Viki doesn't speak Japanese at all, so after Yukiko, Yumi, Yasuko and Izumi told us their names, it was a little awkward, but the atmosphere got a lot friendlier very soon :D Everyone was hungry, so we took them to a pancake place near Király utca, and there, since we had to split up to 3 tables, we could talk with whoever we got to sit with :D The funny thing was this: Ami and Erisz, who study Japanese at uni and therefore are probably the best, sat with Yukiko, who was the best at Hungarian anyway... Viki and me sat with Yumi, who wasn't bad at Hungarian, but we had to speak mostly in Japanese... again interesting, since Viki speaks no Japanese XD Lastly... Orsi (no Japanese knowledge) sat with TWO of the girls - the 2 who understood the least Hungarian I think :DDD BUT, still, everyone communicated well in whatever language we could... we talked about lots of random things :) Food is a good icebreaker ;)

Then, we visited Heroes Square, walked around the Bazilika and went in - the girls loved it! I mostly talked to Yumi, who seemed friendliest and most talkative :) Yukiko seemed sort of serious and wary of us, while Izumi and Yasuko were just shy I think XD After a walk in Váci utca, the girls went off shopping on their own, Viki left to go to the cinema with Patyi, and the 4 of us went to McDonalds and chatted about random stuff like always :) I was happy that I could talk to Erisz a bit more, because before, I thought she was too shy or something, at parties where we met... now, she was really nice :)

At the end of the day, it was decided that the one coming to my house will be Yasuko. I was a bit scared about how we would talk (she was rather quiet the whole time) however, when we were alone, she talked a lot more! She's actually super cute and adorable :D She loved the csirkepörkölt and cucumber salad we had for dinner, and when the 2 of us walked around Szentendre at night, we could talk about things that were beyond usual formalities and such ^^ I know that Japanese people are always nice and polite to everyone, especially their hosts, but I think (I hope, anyhow) Yasuko's kindness was genuine after a while ^__^ She made friends with Bobó as well :D

On Monday, everyone met up in front of the Vásárcsarnok (my old workplace, ugh), and we left the Japanese girls to do sightseeing on their own for most of the day. They went to see the Castle and the Parliament and stuff, while Orsi, Ami, Erisz and me "visited" my old boss... she's still a pain in the arse :D
I talked to the girl in the back shop, she's still there, she's truly admirable :)
Then we went to Orsi's house with Viki... where I slept for 2 hours on the bed, I was so tired :D And we looked at old drawings which was fun, and old photos of Ami and Orsi :))) SO CUTE!

After collecting all the girls again, everyone went to Burger King for an ice-cream, and then went home because it was late :D
Yasuko had pörkölt again, she loved it so much! XD She was really cute, when she thanked my mum for it this morning in the car! My mum keeps saying how cute she is and how sweet and etc...
I have to admit that sitting in the sunlight with Yasuko this morning at Batthyány tér, eating the freshly bought jam tarts, and waiting for her taxi, was sort of... I don't know, but I think I'll remember that 20 minutes for a long time :) I think I made a new friend ^_^
