It's waaay too hot @_@

I miss my baka :(

It's EXTREMELY hot... around 35°C here... and work is really hard like this... nobody feels like moving around much in that stifling hot place, but we have to, of course :/ I'm in a bikini top, yes, ME!!! I can't believe myself, but I am - and I stopped caring about my brother and father seeing me like this, it's THAT HOT X_X
And I can't even watch HanaKimi because I've downloaded 2 versions and neither worked, so I have 2 more options, but it takes ages.
Oh, did I mention that I've just had a bath and washed my hair, but I'm already sweating again? It's pretty annoying.

I only have precisely 4 days of work left! Well, 3 full days and 2 half days, which makes 4 :) But being the stupid person that I am, I told the boss that in the beginning of September if she needs me, I can do 1-2 weeks more. Even though I know I won't want to, but then again, it's good to keep possibilities open I guess, when I need money as badly as I do (I want to buy a new laptop... the old one is kind of dying).

JAPAN ^_____^

Ahhh, this is gonna be a looong entry. I have sooo much to talk about… I don’t think I’ll manage it all >_<

Tokyo – Friday -> Monday with Mako-chan :)

On the evening we arrived, we went to the konbini (convenience store) to get some food. I bought some pocky… and I noticed that the song playing in the shop was Yorokobi no uta =D I thought, ’THIS IS STARTING WELL!’ And it indeed was very good :D

On Saturday morning, I met my friend Mako in front of the Shibuya 109 department store… it was so weird, like I was in a dream… I mean, it was always so far away, seeing those pictures of 109, or seeing people walk across that incredibly crowded crossing in front of it in all the doramas or jmovies… and now I was THERE. X_X

My mum and brother kind of spoiled my little cloud-9 happiness, because they reminded me of the not-so-amazing-or-dreamlike home family atmosphere… but after a short while, they went to see the Imperial Palace gardens, and Mako and me were alone ^o^ We went to Harajuku~~~~ oh, Harajuku, I went back there twice more, with my brother once, and alone once when I was walking in Yoyogi, just BECAUSE… well, it’s a fun place :D

Then we went back to Shibuya and took purikura (or, as you call it, Fifi, neoprint) pictures, in a pink booth to be stylish, then talked for a longish time in a cafe :) We took some stupid pictures and videos, then met my family again, who we accompanied to Akihabara (electronics and manga/anime shop district). That was… cool. Akiba, I mean. I went back later alone to buy some stuff =) (I couldn’t properly look around with my mum and brother…)

Sunday morning we went to see Tokyo Tower, which is like the modern version of the Eiffel tower XD in the afternoon, I met Mako again, because we’d arranged to meet my penfriend Takuya (well, Takuya and me wanted to meet up, but I didn’t want to go alone XD). However, Mako’s two friends also came, who I didn’t know at all~ Kirin and Keita. Kirin was sooooo adorable!!! *___* Keita was nice too, but she didn’t talk much, so unfortunately I couldn’t get to know her too well ^^; So, Takuya and me knew each other, Mako and me knew each other, and Mako, Kirin and Keita knew each other… it was a funny little gathering, Takuya looked kinda confused at first, and the atmosphere was a lil awkward XD We went to a restaurant Takuya knew, the food was niiice, we had sushi and this cheese-cream-filled ball thingies <3 faces ="D">

OK, then on Monday, we met Mako again in the morning, and went to Asakusa to see the temples or shrines, whatever they were~ that was a looong day, and after it, Mako and me went to Shinjuku alone, was there until past 10 pm… and my mum was incredibly pissed off when I got home since I forgot that they said they’d wait for me to have dinner… they ended up going to McDonalds at like half past 9, and were REALLY angry @_@ Mako went home with the night bus then… I wish I could have gone with her <333

Tokyo – Tuesday to Saturday

After Mako went back to Osaka, what we did on what days kinda gets confused in my mind sometimes. We went to see the gardens of the Imperial Palace and the Sony building in Ginza on Tuesday, and in the afternoon, I went back to Harajuku with my bro – and I took him to karaoke once more, because he was interested. Weirdly enough, my mother, who kept saying how much she wants to go to karaoke, didn’t end up going at all, even though there was a Utahiroba right near the hotel :/ Anyway, we sang Linkin Park and things like that together, except for the odd solo, mine for example was Hadashi no Mirai, Kizuna, and Yorokobi no uta once more, well, God knows when I’ll get to sing it in karaoke again, no? XD My bro sang System of a Down and stuff. =D fuuun!

Next day, it was Yokohama ~ a lovely sunny day, loud Chinese quarter, etc. On Thursday, my bro got a day off, and my mum and me got up really early to catch a train to Nikkou, which is a national park or something like that, and has really pretty scenery and temples (shrines? I have NO idea what religion they were X_X probably temples) on the mountains. We walked around there for the day, I loved it :] I did some drawing there too.

Friday and Saturday were days off :) I went to draw the Meiji-jingu at Yoyogi (saw Japanese weddings… PRETTY KIMONOS… omg <3)>

I noticed I hardly bought anything for myself, compared to all the souvenirs I got for other people, and I STILL felt guilty about not getting enough for everyone! @__@ *slaps self*

Kyoto and Tokyo again

On Sunday, we took the shinkansen (super fast Japanese train) to Kyoto~~

I don’t really feel like writing about Kyoto, because I didn’t enjoy it that much, due to this and that. I met a really nice ojiisan (old dude) though, who I spent the day with - he was a guide at the temple where I was drawing a dragon statue, and he offered to guide me around the temple and the gardens – actually, the ’temple’ is of course a building complex, we spend like 2 hours going around it and stuff… I enjoyed it a lot! He was really nice, over 65, and he gave me a pretty postcard (he had like 20 Kyoto postcards with him, I suppose the people he guides around buy them), and also asked me to email him if I had time because I’m funny (in a good way), he said XD

I also saw things like the Kinkakuji and the Ryuuanji~ then we went back to Tokyo on Tuesday afternoon. Wednesday I just lazed around again, and finally on Thursday morning we left to come home~~~

I guess I’ve learned A LOT about Japanese people, etc., but I can’t say that I was disappointed at all! ^__^ there were a lot of things that surprised me in Japan, but I, if not always liked, but accepted these at the very least. Tokyo IS very crowded, but I didn’t mind… yes, the cyclists annoyed me when they bumped into me (there are LOADS of cyclists, and they ALL cycle on the SIDEWALK… Dutch people should SHUT UP about how they’re THE cyclist nation… it’s not true XD)… there are often queues at restaurants… some people stare or even talk about you thinking you don’t understand… but mostly everyone I talked to or asked something was super helpful, everything is very clean and organised, and I don’t know why people say it’s hard to get around with the metro/trains because it’s not much harder than it is in Paris, and I was fine with that =)

I guess I would say I felt at home, in some way or another… when we moved to Paris, I didn’t feel like that, even though I was supposed to live there for certain! :)

AND YOU KNOW WHAT?

I WILL LIVE THERE!!!

In 2 years time…

Because…

I JUST FOUND OUT THAT I GOT THE POINTS REQUIRED FOR THE UNIVERSITY I APPLIED TO!!!!!!!!!! ^O^ *bounces away like crazy*

But only a 5 in Art… that’s a tiny bit disappointing. Then again, I KNEW I fucked up the interview XD
